This study was based on a model for measuring rainfall and sending actual data gathered through wireless transmission to concerned agencies to allow early preparation of community alerts. The project used a sensor that detected the volume of rainfall, which, in turn, was categorized into levels.

The main features of the project are as follows: a sensor that detects the volume of rainfall, a transmitter that sends this collected data, and a receiver that converts the information into specific numerical values. The prototype allowed users to show that it was possible to have an automated rain gauge that gives almost accurate results in terms of water level in case flash floods strike a community. READ MORE>
