ABSTRACT
This study sought to determine the effectiveness of two seaweeds, ararusep (Caulerpa lentillifera) and ml yeok (Laminaria japonica), in lowering the blood sugar level of rabbits and white mice. The results suggested that the seaweeds were indeed effective in lowering the blood sugar level of white mice and rabbits. The sterols in these seaweeds could lower blood sugar levels and the fiber could remove excess nutrients like glucose. Hence, they can be used as a natural insulin substitute. READ MORE>
